Star Locksmith · CUSTOMER INFORMATION
Our Service Policy
How estimates, authorization, scheduling and after-service questions are handled by Star Locksmith Minneapolis.
Before work starts
Tell us the type of lock or security system, the problem and the location. An initial estimate depends on that information; an on-site assessment may be needed to confirm the work and suitable parts. Published price ranges are estimates, not a quote for every situation.
Price and approval
Before authorizing work, review the scope and price, including labor, parts, any visit or diagnostic charge, and applicable taxes. If the scope changes, any additional work and price should be explained and approved before proceeding. Ask for clarification if anything is unclear.
Access and authorization
Opening a property, vehicle or secured item requires confirmation that the person requesting service is authorized to access it. Be prepared to provide identification and evidence of ownership or permission. Building management approval may also be needed for shared entrances or security systems.
Scheduling and arrival
Arrival estimates depend on technician availability, location, traffic and the work already in progress. A request does not confirm an appointment until the details have been agreed. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
Changes and cancellations
If your plans change, notify us as soon as possible through the contact method used to arrange service. Ask about cancellation terms and any visit, diagnostic or special-order charges before booking. Any applicable charge should be disclosed before you agree to it.
Parts and installation
The appropriate solution depends on the existing door, lock, wiring and intended use. We discuss repair and replacement options where applicable. Some faults or damaged components may require replacement; a damage-free outcome cannot be guaranteed for every lock or situation.
Warranty and after-service questions
Warranty coverage, if offered, depends on the work and products supplied. Request the applicable written terms, including duration, coverage and exclusions, before approving the job. Manufacturer warranties and any labor coverage may differ. Keep your invoice and product documentation.
Something needs attention?
For questions about completed work, have your service date, invoice reference and a description of the issue ready. Photos of the affected hardware can help. Do not send access codes, passwords, identification documents or payment-card details through this website. See Customer Care for what to include.
Your rights
This policy does not limit rights or remedies available under applicable law. Job-specific scope, pricing and agreed terms should be recorded in the service documentation.
